With its decor inspired by the old city of Shanghai and its menu centering emblematic dishes from all around Asia, the East invites us on a trip through time and space.
Located near the Renaissance hotel’s reception, while still having its own entrance, this restaurant doubles as a lounge bar in the evening, offering a subdued atmosphere rich with red and yellow accents that pay homage to the traditional buildings that illuminate the Chinese metropolis’ nightscape. Taking into account the specific needs of the hotel industry, the layout has also been designed to accommodate breakfast, lunch, and happy hour, offering comfortable seating throughout the day.
Metallic screens adorned with oriental patterns are mounted on the ceiling and disposed vertically around the space, fostering a feeling of intimacy. The numerous light fixtures, some of them made of authentic Chinese bronze bells, diffuse a soft light that directs the eye to the high-quality materials as well as a beautiful mural painted on a brick wall.
