Hotel Le capitole

Prestigious destination located in the heart of Old-Québec, Le Capitole is a 5 stars hotel complex combining luxury, entertainment and history to offer a high-end experience inspired by Italian theater. As part of a major expansion project begun in 2018, a brand new building of 120 rooms and suites was constructed. Sporting generous windows and an elegant glass walkway connecting it to the magnificent historic building, this annex offers breathtaking views of the Basse-Ville, Old Quebec, and the Château Frontenac.

These major renovations were also an opportunity, for the establishment, to undertake a complete makeover: through an equally daring and elegant concept, the goal was to honor nothing less than one century of history, while firmly anchoring this heritage in our contemporary age.

In this award-winning design, wood, marble and velvet are given the limelight, curating an ambiance bursting with European refinement. Whether through their moldings, marble mosaics, or clawfoot bathtubs, the rooms and suites offer a most romantic setting full of the charm of the Old Continent’s most beautiful apartments.

Now located on the 7th floor, the reception area opens onto a spectacular circular staircase leading to the lounge bar on the lower level. In a nod to the place’s thespian heritage, lavish curtains highlight the exceptional forms of the patrimonial building, while adding to the decor’s dramatic aura.
